The languages offered through the World Languages (Language B) department of Ronald
The World Languages program is designed to afford students the opportunity to communicate using the target language. Students will also be exposed to various aspects of the culture including music, film, architecture, literature, and politics. Students will also learn how the culture has influenced and been influenced by the world. Immersing themselves into the target language will allow students the opportunity to read, write, speak, understand and become knowledgeable of the language. Conversing in the language will allow students to become risk takers as they become open minded and identify various aspects of the culture as compared to their own.
Mrs. Sarah Moore
Mrs. Moore teaches Spanish MYP 4 (Spanish 1). This is her seventh year teaching in Milwaukee Public Schools. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree and teacher certification from
Ms. Calie Herbst
Ms. Calie Herbst teaches Spanish MYP5 (Spanish 2) and IB Native Speaker Spanish. She also works with Reagan's Spanish Club, La Familia. This is her third year teaching in Milwaukee Public Schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Sociology from UW-Madison, and her Masters of Teaching Spanish from Marquette University in 2009. She has studied abroad in Granada, Spain, Xalapa, Mexico, and has traveled extensively throughout Spain and Central America.
Ms. Teri Knight
Madame Knight teaches French MYP 4 & 5 (French 1 & 2) as well as IB1 and IB2 to juniors and seniors. She is National Board Certified in World Languages Other Than English. Madame has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.S. from U.W.- Milwaukee. She spent her junior year abroad at the Université d’Aix-Marseille in
